Project Coordinator (Quran Distribution)

Karimia Institute is seeking to recruit a Project Manager to join our Senior Management Team to lead our Quran distribution project. The ideal candidate will have overall responsibility for ensuring that the ‘Motivate a Million’ project achieves its stated objectives. This ambitious project aims to distribute one million copies of The Majestic Quran globally to the following groups:
- Private sector
- Public sector
- Charity sector
- Young Muslims
The Project Manager will lead the project and main duties include:
- Planning
- Executing
- Supervising
- Reporting/Monitoring
- Ensure the project is delivered within the budget and on time
Key responsibilities:
- To develop a five-year strategy plan
- To develop a plan that identifies the required resources alongside key milestones, targets and beneficiaries
- To identify project requirements, delivery timelines and costs
- To develop detailed project plans to guide staff and be able to revise plans based on changing needs and requirements
- To monitor project performance to ensure timely delivery
- To regularly meet with Senior Management Team to report key developments
- To compile and submit project status reports to the CEO, Senior Management Team, stakeholders and the advisory panel
Personal specification:
- Commitment to the ethos and values of an Islamic organisation
- Must be passionate about the Quran and the impact it has on individuals
- Must have excellent leadership, customer relations and communication skills
- Must be educated to degree level with a project management qualification (Prince 2 or equivalent)
- Must be able to develop relationships with diverse communities and find new opportunities for funding
- Must have at least 5 years experience in managing large projects successfully
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have active listening skills and analytical skills
- Must have the ability to develop strategies and organise tasks
Salary: £35,000 (depending on experience)
