Plant a tree in remembrance of a loved one
Join us on Sunday 10th November, 12pm – 4pm
The Invitation Magazine and The Woodlands Trust have teamed up to offer you the chance to plant a tree at High Wood Cemetery in Nottingham.
Plant a tree in remembrance of a loved one, for yourself or simply because you want to!
We will be planting 420 saplings overall, 300 to form a boarder around the Islamic graveyard area, and 120 to help improve the hedgerow in the Muslim children’s area.
This event is open to everyone and it is a chance to learn a little more about Islam and the beautiful traditions it has (like planting trees). It’s a family event so you will get the chance to meet some new people who you can bond with over this unique experience.
We are asking for a minimum donation of £10 per family, this money goes towards funding for the Invitation magazine to continue putting the wow into da’wah and to help set up more projects like this!
In Islam we believe that planting trees is ‘Sadaqah Jariyah’, which means ‘everlasting rewards’. So by planting a tree in this life, you will continue to gain the rewards, even after death, which makes a small donation go a very long way!
Tea and coffee, toilets and prayer facilities will be available in the main centre.
Limited Places!
Places are limited and trees will be given on a first-come, first-served basis once your donation has been collected. Join us early to avoid disappointment. Please be aware filming and photography will be happening on the day.
Register your interest and find out more by emailing tree@invitation-magazine.com or by calling 07811 956 557.
