Nottingham Cultural Festival was a success

The Nottingham Cultural Festival was held on 25th July 2021 from 12 pm to 6 pm. The festival was a celebration of community, culture, faith and diversity in Nottingham. The aim of the festival was to promote the rich diversity that Nottingham has and to bring people together on one day in one place to acknowledge, appreciate and interact with each other.

This event was also aimed at being a fun day out for the whole family. There were a variety of stalls from food to Henna painting, African art etc, which reflected the diversity of our city. We also had key speakers such as the Chief Executive of Nottingham City Council, the Sheriff of Nottingham, the Bishop of Nottingham, MP’s and local councillors. There were also stage performances from a range of local and national artists. The festival had a range of attractions for children and young people such as funfair rides and other amusements.

Alhamdulillah, it was an amazing event. The best and biggest festival in the East Midlands, which saw around 8000 people passing through throughout the day. We would like to thank all our sponsors for supporting our event and the performers for coming and sharing their talents. Finally, a massive shout out to our staff and Radio Dawn for putting this whole festival together.
