Condolences to the Royal Family

On behalf of Karimia Institute’s board of trustees and the Muslim community, I offer sincere condolences to King Charles III and the rest of the Royal Family on the death of Her Majesty the Queen. At this time of sadness, we join the rest of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth in mourning the loss of a remarkable Queen.

Many people will remember the Queen for her service to our country and the 56 Commonwealth countries. Her extraordinary dedication nurtured peace and friendship worldwide. When I met the Queen in Buckingham Palace, she was pinning the OBE medal on my lapel and asked me “What do you do?” As I spoke her majesty listened attentively. The Queen had an inquiring mind and was a master at making people feel special and putting them at their ease.

The legacy she leaves is magnificent; a patron of hundreds of large charities that support millions of vulnerable people. Many of these charities have inspired generations. They reflect her wide range of interests ranging from wildlife to inter-faith relations. Truly a wonderful Queen, a great mother and grandmother who will be remembered for generations.
