On Sunday, 22nd February 2026, our community gathered at Excelsior Nawaab for a truly inspiring occasion, our annual Ramadan Fundraising Dinner, part of our Motivate a Million campaign.
From the moment guests arrived, there was a strong sense of unity, purpose and gratitude in the room. Families, community leaders, young people and long-standing supporters came together with one shared goal: to strengthen the work of Karimia Institute and invest in the spiritual and educational future of our community.
A Gathering with Purpose
Ramadan is a month of reflection, renewal and generosity. This special evening captured the essence of the blessed month, combining remembrance, inspiration and action.
Guests were welcomed into a warm and uplifting atmosphere, where faith and community spirit were beautifully intertwined. The evening was not simply a fundraising dinner; it was a reminder of our collective responsibility to serve, uplift and guide.
Inspiring Voices That Moved Hearts
The programme featured powerful reminders that resonated deeply with all in attendance. Ismael Hussain opened the evening with moving and soulful nasheeds. His heartfelt performance set a reflective tone, reminding guests of the beauty of devotion and the spiritual essence of Ramadan.
Dr Musharraf Hussain delivered a profound reminder about the timeless message of the Quran and the importance of spreading its guidance. He emphasised that the Quran is not merely to be recited, but understood, lived and shared with others.
In this blessed month, the month in which the Quran was revealed, he encouraged the community to renew their relationship with Allah’s words and to support initiatives that make the Quran accessible to future generations. His message was clear: if we want transformation in our lives and our society, we must reconnect with divine guidance and help others do the same.
Ustadh Yasrab Shah followed with a passionate appeal on the importance of giving and donating in this blessed month. He reminded the audience that Ramadan is a season of multiplied rewards, where generosity purifies wealth and strengthens communities. He encouraged everyone to give sincerely and abundantly, trusting in Allah’s promise that charity never decreases wealth. His words reignited the spirit of sacrifice and generosity that defines Ramadan.
A 3-Course Iftar and Fundraising Appeal
Guests enjoyed a delicious 3-course iftar, sharing food and conversation in an atmosphere of gratitude and unity. The meal provided an opportunity to reconnect with friends, meet new faces and strengthen bonds within the community. Before the meal, the fundraising appeal highlighted the diverse and impactful work of Karimia Institute from our 3 key Dawah projects; Radio Dawn, HumanKind and Motivate a Million.
£105,000 Raised – Alhamdulillah
By the grace of Allah and the incredible generosity of those present, the total pledges for the evening reached an outstanding £105,000 Alhamdulillah. This remarkable achievement reflects the trust and commitment of our community. Every pledge will directly support efforts to share the message of the Quran with individuals and communities who may otherwise never have the opportunity to access its guidance.
A Community United in Faith and Action
Beyond the financial success, the evening was a powerful demonstration of unity. Young and old, families and individuals, volunteers and supporters all gathered with sincere intentions and open hearts. In an increasingly challenging environment, evenings like this reaffirm that when we come together around the Quran, generosity and service, we can achieve extraordinary outcomes.
We pray that Allah accepts every donation, every effort and every intention made on this blessed evening. May He place barakah in the wealth and families of all who supported and allow Karimia Institute to continue serving with excellence, integrity and compassion. Alhamdulillah for a truly blessed and successful Ramadan Fundraising Dinner 2026.
