Alhamdulillah, a new academic year has begun at our Quran School, and we are delighted to welcome our students back for another year of learning, growing and strengthening their relationship with the Quran.
In an age where so much learning has moved online, we believe there remains something particularly valuable about children attending Quran School in person. Online classes can be convenient and have their place, but a Quran School offers much more than simply learning to read the Quran.
Children learn alongside their friends, build relationships with their teachers and experience the atmosphere of the Masjid and Muslim community. They learn adab, discipline, good character, Islamic manners and the importance of Salah, while developing a sense of belonging and Muslim identity.
Being physically present also allows teachers to observe each child closely, correct their Quran recitation effectively and provide the encouragement and individual support they need. Just as importantly, children grow up seeing the Masjid as a familiar and welcoming part of their everyday lives.
The habits and friendships formed during these formative years can remain with them long after they leave Quran School.
